each band member and the guy at the sound table had a copy of the set-list for the evening. she took those, scrunched them up and threw them into the audience. house lights on. band already gone. she stayed out to throw papers at us, and throw flowers into the audience. she thanked us for coming and stood there, smiling. nobody moved. music was over. sure. but we liked seeing her. she meant something to us. us. fellow fans. devotees.

i wish i could see her one more time. just because her show was my favorite, out of every single damn show that i've ever gone to. she sings it so well and with so much feeling. gah. if you have listened to cat power and you do not like her, i will seriously consider not liking you anymore.


next show (if nothing else that sounds cool shows up in the meantime) is progressive nation.
